I'm taking short breaks, from burnout on the Langley, and needed something easy to work on. I saw a Lindberg/Round Two at my local HL.
I have the hull complete. The molding is terrible- this is not for a newby, but I've been building models for seventy years, and built Linberg kits in my youth, so I figured I could handle it. In addition to the hull, I painted the aft floor and glued the cabin bulkhead to it. I will be putting on a decal to the outside, and only touching up areas after the decal is on.
While I occasionally paint wood effects, like airplane props, I wanted better results for Mahogany for this cruiser, so I downloaded some mahogany textures , and already had some oak, I made a decal sheet of mahogany areas and a little bit of oak for the interior.

I have the inside of the bulkhead with the oak decal on it now.
The bulkhead and floor piece is not glued in yet. I snapped it in place just for the picture.
I intend to make some interior parts- a bed, a sink and some seats.
