GMorrison

Nicely done.

Its original Lindberg and a nice model.

It's been used as a basis for models of

Surprise. Jolly Roger same model.

My only issue is that like most smaller scale plastic sailing ships it's very difficult to rig because the spars are flimsy.

Bill

Ahhh but that is where EZ Line comes in. It is gently elastic so you can get tight lines without undue stress on masts and spars. It is also much, MUCH closer to scale than even the finest of braided threads. It comes in a couple of thickness' and rope colored or black. Since it is not thread that absorbs glue it attaches far easier.

This is the smallest guage on a 1/350 scale sub so you know that the aft support is not exactly robust but it is taunt the whole length.

Yes can't pull the thread too Right ,but I think the lines are sufficiently taut.I made it 7 years ago and the plastic spars and masts haven't really distorted due to string tension .

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

The kits are often 40 percent off at Hobby Lobby so it is a bargain.

No major problems, fit was quite good!

Is this the 1/133 kit repopped as the "Jolly Rodger"? I have had it in my hands a couple of times but put it back becuase I was nervous of quality and detail.

Hey!

Yer all over da place ain't ya? So! How did the LaFleur go together for you? I thought and maybe I am not to far off base, that in my thinking, these ships From Lindberg originally came from Heller.  They all had small fussy detail Lindberg was not known for. What do you think?
