 As to that, I have seen them at a specialty store here in New Braunfels, But I am sure the Better book and Gift stores will carry them. If NOT Check the Micro-Mark catalogue! Also, I have seen a few at Hobby-Lobby! Check My reply to Bill. The Pay attention I was referring to is Their Instructions. They can be confusing. They even have little Exclamation points at different steps in red!

       I was referring to the fact that you might acquire such a model and to Pay close attention to THEIR instructions. They will throw you. They instruct you to use a mirror image to build some parts. Can You think that way while looking at pictures where all the parts are the same color?

       Luckily, I have seen such a craft being built here in Texas so, I had somewhat  of an idea of her layout! The tri-maran Here is fascinating. Now comes the fun part. She looks the part. Now the Masts,Sails and Moving gear comes into play. Thankfully, she does NOT waddle across the tabletop, Like a toy!

       I have seen larger kits from them in a specialty toy store here in town. How about "Pegasus"(The Flying Horse) that prances and flaps her wings. Two and one half feet long!! It seems that where "Wrebbit" (3-D Puzzle Folks) dropped the ball these Ukrainians picked it up and made a touchdown!!

 I still have my last Wrebbit 3-d puzzle, which was a 1/16 Card and heavy paper Mercedes Roadster from the thirties, The one I wrote about where I had to make the Wire wheels from thread, only I made them of real wire instead!

Hi!

         How many of you are familiar with U Gears Models? They are Wooden mechanical models from the Ukraine! The "Merihobus" was one of my gifts. This boat is an awesome puzzle of three dimensions that does stuff. Exactly what, I don't know yet. But it is my experience that it will be fascinating. I have the Fighter Jet and the Jeep already and I enjoy the challenge. You can figure out her size by this.

         The box says she is 1/50 scale, the assembled model is 410x235x560mm! I believe she furls sails, raises and lowers her pennant and moves her rudders when you turn her on after winding her up! I am not sure yet, But I will let you know. These model puzzles, being basically framework or cut-away( The train) and mechanized are unique and made of some of the finest Model Grade plywood I have ever seen.

        The only thing for me is the instructions, They are photographic Pictograms and sometimes very confusing to the eye. But if you pay very close attention to the part shape and location, you can get it together. These are not recommended for anyone under 14 yrs of age!
