Oh Yeah!

And the unusual profile of the Sail too! I would have to say though. With that structure on the bow, I bet she was very noisy sonar wise! That would create very close in water turbulance, which underwater creates a LOT of noise.

Hey!

Now that's one unusual looking Sub! ...

Yes she was a one of a kind modified Tench class. The experemental sonar lab on the bow sure makes it easy to pick her out of a line-up.

Hey!

Now that's one unusual looking Sub! About the press on letters. I have used that in the past, very successfully, I might add!

If you’re primarily looking for hull numbering, a trick I've used is to go to the dollar store and pick up a package of stick on letters. If the model scale is large enough you should be able to find a decent size match.

Before painting the hull I paint where the letters will be white. I then place the stick on letters and paint the hull, painting right over the letters. When dry, peal of the stickers and you're left with a crisp white designation.

Example on the coning tower:

DDG 112 USS Michael Murphy decals

I'm looking for decals in 1/350 or 1/700 scale for the USS Michael Murphy. I've found DDG 98 model ship which should be close to the 112. At one point in my searches at least dating back to 2020 I thought I saw some decals that had DDG 112 markings. Anyone have some info or lead me in the right direction?

I'm trying to build all the ships my son has been on. This was his last ship before shore duty.

Again, any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
