ikar01 SO, does someone make a decent 1/350th New Jersey from WWII at a decent price?

I think I'd check Model Monkey's offerings for '43 and '44 round bridge Nuevo Jersey
Yes, 3D printed parts are a Godsend to us ship modelers, especially as I get older and like scratchbuilding less and less.
That said, there is definitely a cost-benefit ratio to be mindful of. I am still slogging along backdating a 1/600 Missouri from 1980s to Korean War vintage, and have spent double what the model probably cost on 3D weapons, aircraft, etc.
Gary E;
Promise not to laugh? I recently talked to a friend here in Texas that hits the Model R.R. shows as a vendor. He's going to work out a deal with me.I present the samples and he scans them and then prints them. These will be ship parts. I found myself in a Quandery-I was given the 1/350 New jersey(1981 fit) and tried to backdate it.Big Mistake!
He and I talked about this and he suggested what I mentioned. Imagine, At a Train Show! I modify numerous models for personal reasons-Ships I served on. I want them as accurate as memory will allow-The heck with historically Accurate!
That would have been my goto solution - but it's hard to recommend not knowing who you know or where you're located.
Glad you found a local source, be sure and pay them well. Could be a handy person to be on the good side of.

no problem.
Thanx and those are cool and I love the detail but I found a guy locally with a 3D printer problem solved
I have the same problem, almost. I have to back date the old Jersey kit to WWII and need a ton of weapons, and who knows what else. At least they kept the big guns.
Did you ever see the guy that did reports of all services branches during desert shield? He sat way up by the antenna array on one of the Iowas and as he did his report you noticed he was the only one outside as teh turrets moved into position and fired a full broadside. When the shockwave hit him, his field jacket puffed out and he started yelling. It was very entertaining.

The Black Cat Models armament details are superb. They are highly recommended. Their quad 40s come shielded or unshielded, be sure to order the correct type for your needs. I have ordered directly from Ben@Black Cat with no problems, let PayPal handle the exchange rate and delivery by FrancePost & USPS.
If you are in the States and don't want to deal overseas, Squadron handles both Black Cat and Veteran. IMO, Veteran is more fiddley as they have you apply PE to the resin parts. Black Cat's are 3D printed and include most of Veteran's PE appliques as integral to the part
eBay listing - Not cheap at $35 for 4 delivered but they do look very nice:

Seller is not me BTW - I wish! if i could print parts that nice I'd quit my day job.
That said eBay no doubt has a lots of other options, if you don't get any donations.
I have a discontinued version of the 1/350 Missouri by Tamiya and have several broken parts (8) tops to the gun tubs and(4) of the twin 40mm guns that make up the 40mm quad mounts
any ideas?
thanks in advance
