Oh!

Seems like I have built dozens of this iteration for clients. P.E. Does make it look better! Innacuracies? Don't know about you but, Clients didn't care, they just wanted an Arizona! Nice job there!

Yes I got my first Arizona for Christmas of 1974 and I built it to that standard about five years ago.

Looks great Eugene.  I can't recall how many times that I've built this kit and the smaller version but it's a lot.  It's old but one of Revell's better classic kits.

Eugene, i got my 1st one maybe about the same time as you did & eventually in the late 70's while in high school, i kitbashed it into a New Mexico class which i still have. once i do all 3 New Mexico class battleships during ww2 plus another Mississippi as AG128 with the missile launcher, i'll re-kitbash the 1st model into something else, maybe the 1919 South Dakota.

Eugene,

Your Arizona looks great!  What color paints did you use?  I'm building one for a school display and I love the way yours looks.  Thanks for sharing your pictures!

Contact Jeff Herne (former editor of FSM) now of Scale Colors paint.  Jeff presented a program at the recent IPMS NATS that recounted the research of the Facebook Ship Camouflage Research Group about the Pearl Harbor battle line.

Hint: the Arizona was not in dark gray nor in sea blue, but rather an amalgam of several colors based on the limited availability of paint in the Pacific theatre in late-41

Oh, and by the way, Scale Colors paints are good to work with, acrylic and optimized for airbrushing (satisfied customer). Order direct.
