 Yes,now !

The boats were odd. The "Connie " had been around for a while. the "Sportfisherman was catch as catch can. There is a mystery to this one though! Some long time back I pointed it out too! When building one for a friend many years ago I discovered what the Mystery was! When Lindberg had the molds cut someone wasn't paying attention! The model was done with an inside out Mold! All the detail features that set this boat aside from it's fellows was on the inside instead of the outside.

This was like someone thought it was going to be vacuformed in a female mold. Nope, backwards it was! The deck and cabin parts were done correctly though! Oh and both of them were over 30 inches long! there was a smaller Chris Craft tri Cabin ny revell. Problem was in later iterations they marketed it as a "Sports Fisherman with the addition of two fishing chairs and poles. On the real boat there wasn't enough space to mount chairs, much less Big Fish gear!

The Chris 38 and 42 footers only had an aft cabin deck that was forty two inches deep front to back! The hatch(Sliding Door) was a way to enter this space from the Aft master's Cabin. Revell"s model was okay,But Lindberg, about the same time did a 30 foot day cruiser or (picnic Boat) that was a sweetheart to build and it could be motorized. They sold it both ways for years including a version where you actually got the wires and casing, a and core to build your own electric motor. Very weak if you got it built. A Futaba Can motor worked better! Or the ones they sold for 1/24-5 slot cars

Hi!

I think the Constellation Kit is one that lends itself to scads of superdetailing Too!

Didn't Lindberg release some cabin cruisers several years ago?  I remember seeing them in the shelves at my local Hobby Lobby.

I would love to find the Constellation kit!  I hope someone like Round 2 0r Atlantis would find the will to repop that one.

Yes I do.

I wonder what happened to the Molds for Lindberg's Chris Craft Comstellation and the Chris craft Fishing Boat(The early charter style.)?  Even though they were toy like they could be upgraded with Hardware from "BlueJacket Shipcrafters' and have added interiors and go full R.C.. Something to fill out the gap between the older wood stuff and the "Go-Fasts" found in every R.C. Hobbyshop!

The Fans of larger Chris Runabouts(R.C.Capable) would love to see the boats in plastic I am sure!. Beautiful boats for cruising and towing model skiers. Just to fill that gap. I wonder?
