So, Andy's had a video out abotu Border's new combo kit.
It's the bridge of the Akagi, and 18x22" (45x56cm) of deck, with PE tie-downs.
Oh, and you get a complete Kate bomber in Peral Harbor configuration, too.
There's a brief lighting kit for the bridge structure (we'll leave aside light discipline in combat conditions). The lighting kit appears to skip over nav lights for the mast. The Railings are largely styrene, so I imagine aftermarket will be out soon. The kit parts are huge--appropriate in 1/35, but there's no interior detail, despite the large portholes (around 12-15mm by eyeball). Again, aftermarket will probably be all over that, and the hammock rolls used as splinter protection, too.
Allegedly, Border is bringing out a flight deck figures kit, separately.

I've heard that UK shops will be offering the bridge by itself (and for only about £90).
The Kate looks great, the oil canning is moulded right in, and the fueselage has on-panel-lines top & bottom to help prevent needing to fill seams. The Kate comes with torpedoes in either blue-water or shaloow-water configuration; additionally one of the battleship shell bombs is another option.
