Looks great, from what I can see! YesBig Smile

I think the ol' Revell 1/570 kit was the intro to 'Titanic-mania' for quite a few of us!

Thanks Greg had this for a while figured it was about time. Have tried down loading pictures for such a long time. Gave up clicking the usual box and pasted straight into here and it worked.

Well:

AS an old mariner and ship aficianado I would say it looks like you have a winner there. I took my second one and with minor mods created the "Olympic " so I would have the twins. I Eventually did the "Brittanic" as well, Same kit, just different again.

Thanks TB and Jim,

Really enjoyed building this model straight out of the box and hand painting with Vallejo. Way too cold to be in my modelling room at the back of the shed, so this all happened on a folding tray in the front room. Went together like a charm no need for any filler.

Nicely built. There are a couple of stays on the fore mast that need tightening.

Confused Didnt think I'd get away with it, got super glue on my fingers transferred to the stays so they are rock solid in that shape. Will put it right soon as it is annoying.

I think you did a fantastic job on it. But then again I am not a ship guy either. I like it very much.

Thanks Lurch,

This is the first ship model I’ve built since a Bismarck back when I was around 10 and the first model I ever painted. I mean to build a representation of the USS The Sullivans soon especially as I enjoyed this one.

I recommend the Trumpeter kit.

Hi Bill,

I wouldn’t claim to have a great mind to think with; I’m sure you do though.

My choice of manufacturer was purely coincidental but I did add an upgrade from L’ARSENAL to help do it justice.

Here is a site that will eat hours of your time...

https://www.shipcamouflage.com/camouflage_database.htm

It's a given that no two of the 175 Fletchers were quite the same, so don't sweat the details.

Great choice of subject.
