regarding the PE sets, I haven't used the WEM set but when I made my Bismarck last year I used the GMM set and it was very nice. It has everything you need. I've heard some good things about the WEM set though.

heres alink to a photo of the GMM set:

and go to www.eduard.cz for a pic of their set. Icouldn't find a pic of the WEM set. But go to www.modelwarships.com and you might find some info.

hope this helps.

I picked it up and I have all the gearbox assembly. Now all I have to do now is to remmember not to pry open the deck for the speed control...LOL!

Thanks again Jeff!

What's the difference between GMM and WEM, I mean what did GMM missed that WEM havent?
is that crucial?

You can't go wrong with any of them, although I believe that the WEM set is the most extensive. That being said, it's also the most delicate of the three, and I don't recommend it if you don't have a good working relationship with PE.

Thanks Jeff!

Hopefully I'll pick it up today!

O.K. one more. Which PE set is better? White ensign, GMM, eduard?

They all come that way....some of the earlier releases of the kit also included a gearbox for the screws.

Although the interior of the hull has the fittings, there's no sign of anything else pertaining to RC on the exterior of the hull or deck...

Hi all,Captain [4:-)]

this one for those who built this model.

A couple a day's ago I took a peek in the box and noticed that in the middle of the haul there is room for four batteries. This model was ment for R/C.
Was it in your model as well, or there are two different kits (different kit numbers)?
