Titanic/Brittannic Conversion
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, May 17, 2004 8:08 AM
I have two of the 1/350 scale Titanic kits from Academy and I've decided to build one of them as the Brittannic. Since there are some minor differences, is there an aftermarket conversion kit available?

I don't believe there is, the best place to post this request is on the Debris Field, you can get there by going to www.modelwarships.com and clicking on the Debris Field button on the left side of the screen. All of the liner experts hang out there.

Actually, there is something available:

1:350 Britannic brass conversion set. Includes full brass replacements for B-Deck and A-Deck superstructure sides, full set of gantry davits (enough to build RMS or HMHS), lifeboat storage racks, aft well deck side bulkheads, poop deck smoke room bulkheads, children's playroom bulkhead, red crosses for boat deck and miscellaneous other parts. Includes full instruction sheets containing detailed information about using the parts.
Price $45

If you want I can send you a very detailed set of instructions for building the 1/350 scale Titanic kit from Academy.
It runs into 11 pages of detail and is very well written.
(I did not write these instructions, but found them on the internet)
