The Surcouf was a unique and spectacular-looking vessel. I believe there's a set of plans for her in the series published by the Musee de la Marine, the French national maritime museum. Those plans are, I think, available through Taubman Plans Service. Abe Taubman, in case you aren't acquainted with him, is one of the stalwart characters of American ship modeling. He's in his 80s, and maintains probably the most comprehensive range of ship plans available commercially in the U.S. or anywhere else. He does have a website, but be warned: it doesn't include anything like his entire inventory. The way to access everything he has to offer is to order his printed catalog - which will quickly become one of your favorite wishbooks.
Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.
