I used Humbrol paints for my Admiral Panteleev's deck orange. Actually it was a mix of Humbrol #82 and #132 in aprox ratio 3:1

Main deck is more like a rusty brown color. In real life it actually is not painted - its covered with layer of special mixture that contains acid and after apllied on bare metal deck creates oxide. This oxide protects the deck from further corrosion and at same time makes the surface anti-skid like... at least thats what I've heared from a person who served on the ships of this class.

This photo is a great example of the deck color

 HTH

I'm not an expert on Russian ships but one of the things I have noted is that many ships have a coating painted over the red-brown colour which can make the deck look grey. This seems to be different on ships of the same class so you need to decide which you want your kit to represent. Another thing to note is that the Russians seem to extend the red-brown colour up about 100 to 150 millimetres (4 to 6 inches) up the vertical surfaces.

Here are a couple of links that might help.

Udaloy class...

and Russian ships in general...

I believe ships 212 to 225 are the Udaloy class.

Appreciate any help as to the colors of the deck of those russian ships. Some of the reference photos show a dark gray shade while others are of a rusty brown color. Which is which? and which part should have those deck colors?
