USS Essex Hanger deck dolor

All U.S Navy carriers have white or a very light gray paint inside hanger.
The hanger floor is medium or dark gray.

I asked this very same question on a couple of other sites (Armorama and Modelwarships, and this is the same info I got about colors. White ensign Models is suppossed to be coming out with a great PE set that could be of use. They call it ESSEX AIRWING same for the Hornet kit and the modern Enterprise. It has fork lifts and push carts and other goodies.

  HI!  Before I left california I had the pleasure of being a docent on the U.S.S. HORNET at ALAMEDA N.A.S.  .When we got her she had a medium grey non static generating rubberized hanger deck coating . The bulkheads throughout were the familiar flat white .  I hope this helps .   TANKERBUILDER
