Iceberg!

I just finished this one this week: Academy's 1/720 scale Titanic. It'll appear in the October issue of FSM as a Workbench Review model.

Has anyone else built this kit? It's apparently an older offering in a new box; the one-piece hull has molded-in compartments for AA batteries and an electric motor, which are no longer included.

Matt,

That is a real nice build. Looks real good. Do you have any more close up photos as it is a subject I would like to try myself?

Looks like you had some fun without the cold weather!

Now its time to move up to the 1/350th scale ...but don't forget to spend about 200.00 on Photo Etch and decalsTongue [:P]

Nice build!

I don't have any more photos, but I can tell you a little about the kit. It's apparently a reissue of an older kit, and there was quite a bit of flash on a lot of the parts. Replacing some of the kit parts with photoetch (railings, etc.) would undoubtedly make it look less toylike. I'm happy with the model straight from the box, though. It looks nice on the shelf next to my computer here at FSM.

I hope this helps!
