                        Does any one know what class of cruiser HMS Ulysses from the Alastair MacLean novel is supposed to be?

                        If I remember the book correctly (It's one of my favs: read once a year) the Ulysses is the forerunner to the Dido class cruiser. She was a special one of a kind prototype.

                        Actually, it is a fictional forerunner to Black Prince, with the speed of the Manxman class of minesweeper.
