I built the Arleigh Burke, straight out of the box. Quality is good, comparison wise, it's the same DML. It really does not compare to Tamiya's detail quality. If you build one, look at getting some Photo etch to add detail. I also have the Cole which I plan to detail with photoetch. This also would be a good ship to practice on for building Tamiya's line of 350 scale ships. Also, don't let the box fool you. For the size of the box, you would think there is a lot to put together. There are only two real trays of parts totalling maybe 100 pieces. The hull is all one piece minus the rear bulk head which has to be put in.
