I'll add the old Monogram kit. It was my first carrier kit that I built in the second grade. I picked up another on ebay last spring for a young boy to build. Not a real great kit for detail, but fun to put together.

ARII made a line of U.S. Carriers in 1/800 (if I remember right) scale.

Fujimi has a recent 1/700 release. I picked it up a little over a year ago. A little expensive but nice detail and nice moldings. Decent air wing, molded in clear. Definitely needs PE to jazz it up. Has some odd omissions IIRC, like no life raft canisters. HTH

Probably the old Revell kit...it's been released as a bunch of different ships.
