I just got a reply from Hiro:

QUOTE: Hello Fan-San,

I called the owner of HOUSHINYA and he told me that he continues producing products. However he has to change the factory that he ordered products so far because they have too much job and can not accept our order.

We will have our products few weeks later. I will call you if we accept a quality of new factory.

Best Regards,

Hiro Nagashima

Hey Jeff, thanks for the info. Mission models carries the set but they are a bit of a pain to order from. They don't have a website that you can't actively order from and must result to e-mail.
As for the comments from the peanut gallery....you all must forgive him, he had just a little too much glue sniffing from his younger days!! (I have known this maroon for many years and I ought to know!!)

I got them when I was with Modelwarships.com awhile ago, when they first came out.

HIro will usually respond to emails, he (or his contact person) speaks very good English.

Your other option is to call James Corley at AAA Hobbies in Atlanta, then you can order the wood deck AND the barrel/scope set at the same time!

Jeff,
How did you get it from Hiro? I went to their web site and it's virtually all Japanese so I'm not sure what goes where. I've sent them an email so hopefully that will do.

When I got my set (direct from Hiro) it came with a single 20mm barrel.

Has anyone bought/used/seen Houshinya's machined aluminum gun barrels and periscopes for Revell's U-boat? Mission Models lists two sets on their website with set "A" having periscopes (2) and a 88mm gun barrel. Set "B" is advertised as having 4 barrels for the 2cm Flak. Somewhere in time I recollect someone staing that the set with the periscopes and gun barrel also includes (1) barrel for the 2cm . Any help would be appreciated.
