Hey all!
I know I don't post much here, but I do read this Forum alot. This time, although the pics aren't that good (hey, they're LOUSY!) I'm still gonna post some pics of my latest naval additions, one of which is still incomplete.
This is my fuzzy pic of my German Aircraft Carrier Graf Zeppelin by Revell/Germany:
It came out pretty good, but while finishing it, I ended up losing all the guns along the deck edge. They've all been replaced by spares from my parts box. I wish I had a camera capable of taking clear enough pics for you all to see the details. This was the clearest pic that came out!
During this time I was working on my HMS Warspite as well. All thanks to faol for sending me the missing gun barrel I needed I was able to finally get some progress done on her:
Now my Warspite is a proud addistion to my British Navy:
Still in the yards is my 1/700 scale HMS Illustrious by Dragon. She's the last of the three British 'through-deck cruisers' that I need to build for the set. My HMS Ark Royal and HMS Invincible are already complete.
Here's a shot of the hull just after it was clearcoated for decals:
And here she is with the superstructure test-fitted. I had also applied the clearcoat on the superstructure for decal placement.
Once the decals are on both assemblies, I'll attach the superstructure to the hull and then clearcoat the whole thing with a semi-gloss. After that, all I need to do is launch her and embark her air wing!
