Matchbox Models...who carries them?
Posted by SNOOPY on Friday, May 2, 2003 11:24 AM
Does anyone know who is carrying the Matchbox models. I cannot find the Flower Class Corvette? I ahve seen an article in FSM and in the Reader Gallery of FSM of a Flower Class Corvette but no mention of where to get one.

I would suggest that you try looking at some of the web-sites which cater to model ships. I can and do recommend the following company, Pacific Front Hobbies. I'm sorry to say, I do not know their exact address, which is to say I'm unsure if you would need to type in pacificfronthobbies.com, or just pacificfront.com. I'm pretty sure one or the other addresses will get you to their web-site.

I think the model you are referring to is the HMCS Snowberry, a WWII Flower Class Corvette, the manufacturer is Revell Germany.....some of the larger hobby shops could find it for you if they don't stock it....check the link below to see if this is the one you seek....

http://www.revell.de/cgi-bin/kat/katalog.pl?cmd=overview&KOSCHL=03&grp=05&ARARTN=05061&modellsuche=&showall=true&ps_KOSCHL=&SWO=&MAS=&frei=&lang=en&kat=modell&sort=&page=2&mas=

.....sorry for the long linkname....that was how it is listed on the Revell site....

Here's another site that may interest you regarding the Flower Class

If you still care and haven't found one yet, Squadron has a Snowberry in its catalogue for around $90.

I may get so drunk, I have to crawl home. But dammit, I'll crawl like a Marine.
