Posted by ipms40049 on Sunday, September 26, 2004 6:03 AM
....You need to wash the whole thing in the bath tub!!

Steps
1. Remove all soap scum and residue from tub
2. Fill have up with warm soapy water
3. Dump parts in
4. Let sit for about an hour
5. Spread newspaper all over dinning room table
6. Remove parts from tub
7. Spread parts out all over dinning room table.
8. Let dry ( 5 days )!
9. Take the family out to eat on the drying days, to justify the mess youve made all over the familys dinning room table!
10. After drying is done, put all back in box and figure out where your going to build it now since it wont fit on your work bench!

LOL wouldnt the same problem crop up if someone was to build Tamiya's Enterprise since it is the same length as the Nimitz

On the workbench: Dragon 1/350 scale Ticonderoga class USS BunkerHill 1/720 scale Italeri USS Harry S. Truman 1/72 scale Encore Yak-6

The 71st Tactical Fighter Squadron the only Squadron to get an Air to Air kill and an Air to Ground kill in the same week with only a F-15 http://photobucket.com/albums/v332/Mikeym_us/

can i try my version ?

1) rob a bank/strike the lottery
2) build a modelling shed out in the back yard
3) buy a brand-new bathub so you dont have to clean it
4) fill tub
5) dunk parts
6) put parts onto your brand new custom-made workbench
7) let dry
8) start building !

i think its a much better idea ! all it needs is for you to rob a bank or strike the lottery !

You might want to check if you'll need a builder's permit to put something that big together inside the city limits.
A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.

or just do what my dad did, rig it up in one day so that passing copcars dont ask
"do you have a permat for that" - they just think its been there all along. to help with the "thats been there for ages" look, try some full-size weathering.
