That is an old kit. I built it years ago and it does turn out to be a nice looking model abide a bit inaccurate.

Got anything you want to trade?????? I like a person who has a collection, I promised myself that I would catalog all the model kits I have to build and post it on the BB.

Hey Jake
This is a re-release. I've had this in my collection for about 5 years or so.The detail on it is not bad at all.Its about the same size as Revells Santa Maria. Some day I'll build it.You know so many ships so little time.

Here's a link to an online build of the kit - it's in German:

I noticed that too. I did a bit of research on the web and found the drawings and artwork similar to the box art in style.

Email me direct at jbgroby@cox.net and I send you some pictures of the model when it get here. Also, send me some pictures of your work, I'd liked to see.

Very interesting. The box art is pretty awful; hope the contents are better. (For one thing the yard proportions are way off. For that period the topsail yards should be almost exactly half the length of the lower yards.) It looks like it might conceivably be a modified version of the ancient Revell Santa Maria, or perhaps a reissue of one of the old Heller kits. I'd want to see a photo of the kit itself before shelling out any cash for it. But if it is in fact a new kit, and of reasonable quality - great! It would be the first from Revell for a long time.

Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.

I' thought I'd drop a notice to the ship folks to let them know about a new "Sailing" ship kit that was just released by Revell,

I found this on Ebay and picked it up. I converted the cm to inches and the length will be 14.1" when completed, the height will be 11.7". I tried to find it at several different online hobbies stores but no luck, it's too new. The dealer can probally get more. I'm glad Revell either re-popped this kit or punched it out new. I'll be glad to add it to my collection.
