1/350 Fletcher square bridge conversion question
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 10:30 AM
I have the Tom's Modelworks square bridge
conversion set for the 1/350 scale Fletcher.
As I was dry-fitting the bridge, I noticed
that the bridge sits so far back that the
mast won't sit in the intended spot. Has
anyone done the conversion and if so, is
there something that I'm missing?

The mast should be moved back slightly. If I remember correctly, the new bridge part actually covers the original locator hole for the kit mast...simply dry fit the resin part in place, locate the centerpoint of the cut out in the resin kit, and drill a new hole for the mast. You can also compensate by *slightly* notching out the back fillet on the resin piece.
