photoetch railings query
Posted by womble on Friday, November 5, 2004 3:55 PM
where does the photoetch railing need to go on a 1/350 battleship, right along the edge of the deck or can it go along the seam where the deck parts fit into the hull? it would help hide the seam this way but I guess it isnt accurate having a step between the railings and edge then?

Depends on the ship, but most of the rail stanchions are set in from the deck edge. Depending upon how thick the plastic sides of the hull are, you could use the rail to hide the seam. For what it's worth, I've done it.

thanks for that Smile [:)] I've had a quick look around and there does seem to be a gap between the hull and main deck with regards to photoetch railings...which is great cause that seam is prominent!
