gidday from sunny down under. for simulating hoses on reels i use rigging thread from heller. from what i can ascertain, you are using a pe set from gold medals for the big e. check with your local hobby shop as heller does sell rigging thread separately from their sailing ship kits. for hose reels on enterprise, i would use a linen coloured thread and of the fine nature instead of thick, but that is my preference. i hope this helps you my friend and smooth sailing.
