revell 1/72 u-boat extra components, looking for some

Hi,

Ok I know Czechmaster has the Forward Torpedo Compartment and the Control Room kits, I have also heard they will probably come out with an engine room soon.

What I wondering is if anyone has any idea of whom makes the conning tower interior detail kit? Also, are there any other interior kits that you may know of?

Thanks

Someone said (somewhere) that Lionroar was doing an interior set...

The only other stuff I'm aware of that could have an impact on a cutaway is Yankee Modelworks, they're doing a pressure hull insert.

Flaver, where have you seen the Czech Torpedo and control room kits? I've been trying to find these kits with no luck. Lots of speculation, no kits.

Jeff- thanks for the link. I've got to get a set of these pieces... It beats the styrene sheet I was contemplating...

Go to www.whiteensignmodels.com click the catologue button and do a search for CMKN7201 that is the Czechmaster code number for the control room and right below it is the torpedo room kits. There are also kits of crews.

I have the Yankeemodel pressure hull kit, very sweet!! And the torpedo loading set, not the crew loading set. I am going to order the interior kits but I was hoping someone knew something about the coming engine and conning tower interior kit.

I just picked up what I think is the most comprehensive and the best brass set for this model from www.modelbrass.com

Thanks, Flaver, that's exactly what I was looking for. I'll call my local hobby shop and order them today. "I love it, when a plan comes together.", George Pepard, CO of A-Team.

Steel periscope tubes are available from the following; it's a japanese site and you'll have to contact them directly. It's not easy, but if it was, everyone would be building them!

vosges,
How do I order the scopes and barrels from this site? Everything is in japanese. I desperately need this set. I click on them but I can't find the check out button. Or how do I contact them.

Thanks,

Ireceived this email today from Hiro, regarding the Houshinya machined parts for the Revell Type VII:
******************************************************************
"Unfortunately HOUSHINYA closed his business and site.
He refused my contact I don't now why.
There are no new HOUSHINYA products in the world.
I sold about 80 sets for overseas modelers.

Sorry for no response long time

Best Regards

Hiro Nagashima"

On a more positive note, I received the YankeeModelWorks resin cast pressure hull pieces yesterday. Excellent castings, viturally no flash and no bubbles.
John includes instructions and photos with the castings. Highly recommended if you plan on using any sort of open deck, or opening the flood vents.

Try Models by Mickster. He sells the Warhammer upper tower resin replacements for the kit parts. Two styles and a PE fret. I've got two sets and they are excellent.
