AMPHIBS / GATOR NAVY GROUP BUILD IDEA!
Posted by rockythegoat on Monday, December 13, 2004 5:34 PM
Any takers out there for an Amphib / Gator Navy GB? Build would include any naval asset used to conduct an amphibous assault that is not an aircraft or is primarily a USMC-type asset (no AAVP, LAV's, MH-53s, etc) Pretty much ships, boats, and landing craft. (Yes I know the Corps is part of the Navy, however, that's a possible idea for a GB down the road!Tongue [:P])

Potential rules:

1. Any kit, any scale, any era, any navy, any medium.

2. OOB or modified/enhanced.

3. The vessel has to be built and displayed in action. Such as: well dock door down and LCAC transitting; bow ramp open, tanks heading to shore; etc, etc.

4. Closed time frame. As a working date, say March 1, 2005 to July 1, 2005. Give everybody time to get past the holidays and close out/get a head start on some other GB's. Dates would not be hard and fast, unless majority rules.

Anything else to decide?

Any interest?
