Hospital Ships
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, December 23, 2004 6:58 PM
Hi All...
I have a Glencoe SS United States....decided to convert her to a USNHS.
I realize it proably is wrong and historically inaccurate. BUT I would like suggests on how to paint her. I would like to make it look like it was newly
commissoned as a USNHS.
I have a base coat of white....looks pretty lousy. BUT Im airbrushing. Its my first airbrush project and air compressor. Im using an Aztec airbrush (the wooden case) and the silent compressor.
Any suggestions and when its done Ill email a picture of her.
I am thinking of a white ship with a green line around her middle and red crosses also. On the bow, midship, stern and funnels.
THANKS
Dave

Sounds right to me, don't have any reference photo's handy but know your color scheme is correct. Not sure of placement of red crosses on the bow and on the stern.
