Hi Tim,
I have just decommissioned my Flower (HMS Polyanthus) after about 20 years. She will now be put into a display case and the speed controler/radiogear/motor put to use in another 1/72 warship. (Probably a destroyer, HMS Mohawk WW1 or SMS Helgoland which I will start in the next 12 months or so).

Hey Therriman,

I got the same beast on my shelf in the "to do pile" which I should probably rename the "collecting dust pile"...LOL!

I noticed you have open portholes on your hull.....did you drill them out with a pin vise or use something faster like a dremel?? I plan on starting mine sometime later this year (2005) and will probably finish her as the HMCS Snowberry. I look forward to seeing more pics of your build as you progress as well as any advice you may provide since, to be honest, a boat this size intimidates me a little....

Regards and Happy New Year!

Tim,
Nice build going. Have always wanted to get this kit. Looking at all the aftermarket stuff that DJ Parkins has for it makes me wonder if it is worth trying the kit without spending all that extra $$$. I have seen several of these done up very nicely so it is still on my wish list (and it is the right scale).
Whose deck set did you use and how does it fit?

I just did sone painting on this ship. I finally decided to do her as the USS Saucy.

I also painted the wood decks, I forgot to put in photo.
