Ohio class sub kit ?
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, January 13, 2005 1:08 PM
I was looking for a kit of the ohio class submarines currently used by the U.S. navy. Mostly the USS MICHIGAN SSBN 727. Thanks for any help.

DML/Dragon makes a very nice 1/350 Ohio Class Boat. It's recentlygone out of production, but it can still be found in most hobby shops or on the net. Retail is about $20.

Regards,

Jeff

Okay thanks for your time Jeff. I was hoping for a conventional plastic kit (with a resonable price). I had a chance to ride the USS MICHAGAN coming into Bangor WA. two summers ago and have wanted to build a kit of it but could not find one. THis will be very nice.

Here's a review of the kit:

If you can still find one for twenty bucks or so, buy it ! With a little bit of work, it comes out very nicely...unfortunately, the price doubled in late 2005, and out here, they are over 40 bucks now.
