Cars are a pain!Yuck [yuck] Buy your son a horse, instead--if it doesn't work, at least he can eat itBurger [BG].

Thanks for the hobby sitesBow [bow]--very helpful.

If there's too much honey-do Boohoo [BH] you might drop a subtle Mischief [:-,] hint to the Mrs. by building a slave galley as the next model project.Wink [;)]

I used to live in Vancouver. I'm in Camas now. Smaller, and stinky (paper mill). I didn't even think about ehobbies first. It came up near the top of the search results so I clicked on it. I do a lot of window shopping but not much buying. My son is getting his driver's license and I'm looking for a decent first car for him. And the insurance?? My Allstate guy has dollar signs in his eyes. Hobby Circle is a neat little site. Not a big inventory but decent prices. Tower Hobbies (ship-models.com I think) ship section is pretty good too. That Goethe looks like a very interesting subject and a change of pace.
My wife says getting some honey do projects done would be a nice change of pace so I'll put that one on temporary hold.

Sad [:(]Sorry I couldn't get back to you earlier. I was away from the PC about a week in order to spend a few hours in beautiful downtown BagdadYuck [yuck] finalizing a few "risk management" Mischief [:-,]projects for Uncle.

I ordered the "Geothe" from e-hobbies, thanks to your info.

BTW, "across the river from Portland"(?) Are you in Vancouver, WA? I spent some pleasant times there.Party [party] working for WA State when I lived in Tacoma.

Look at megahobby.com under civilian ships. Their price is about $42 I think. I just looked at their site. There isn't any notation about out of stock or anything, but if they are out there's a hobby shop in Portland, Or. across the river from me and they'll order anything from anywhere. Bridgetown Hobbies and Games. I think it's bthobbies, but you can do an search to get the exact url. "Military Hobbies" might have it. Their pricing is about typical but when they have a kit on "special" they really cut the price.
