USS Narwhal and Nautilus
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, June 5, 2003 1:25 AM
I know this is a long shot but is there a company that ever built a kit of the WWII era submarines USS Narwhal or USS Nautilus? They were probably the largest American submarines sortied out into the Pacific and they were the only 2 of their class.

If not, what submarine class were the USS Darter and/or USS Dace of the Battle of Leyte Gulf fame. I'm not sure if they were Gato or Balao.

Uss Darter and USS Dace were Gato class boats. The USS Argonaut was the largest U.S. sub of the war at 3128/4164 tons (surface/submerged), Nautilus was 2730/3660 and Gato and Balao classes were 1526/2424.
