Mike,
From my research the only striping on World War II carrier decks was the fore and aft guidelines that were painted in a contrasting color (light gray, white, or even yellow in some cases). For the USS Enterprise (CV-6), I think light gray will get you there. Flight deck markings are an enigmatic subject, and you would need a specific photograph and date to model your deck from.
The World War II U.S. Navy was not like today's Navy when it came to safety markings on aircraft elevators. To my knowledge the elevators did not have warning striping of any kind--the flight deck crews had to keep their wits about them on the flight deck, the hangar deck, and the elevators. The metal parts of the flight deck (tie down strips, expansion joints, and the like) were finished to the same deck blue color as the flight deck, although wear would be different between metal and wooden surfaces. The wooden flight deck is stained, while the metal portions would be painted.
