The fact that is didn't sell may show that P T Barnum may have been wrong about a sucker being born every minute !!!

I hope you know I was joking about the bow being "just about right", I was being sarcastic. There are so many things wrong with this model, it can't even be called close other than having 4 stacks like the Titanic and they are the wrong color. I wonder if he ment to paint it like the Lusitania, closer to that color for the stacks. And not to mention the "FIRE HYDRANTS" on the bridge wings?

An F1 Nas car??
An 18th century airplane?
Forgive me if my mere high school education fails but 18th century would be the 1700's. . .Kittyhawk was December 17th 1903. It don't compute Will!!

Nothing exciting, really.

Besides being a "plastic-holic" I'm also an HO scale modelrailroader. My favorite RR is the Great Northern, whose symbol was a mountain goat called "Rocky."

See, nothing exciting. I have to live vicariously through other people's lives.Big Smile [:D]

This is an example of "interpetive modeling" which means the modeler (if they can be called that) creates a model as they believe it looked and then builds it with whatever is on the workbench In this case there was alot of old junk hanging around so the "modeler" figured what the heck lets stick in on there somewhere ! It will be interesting to see if some fool bids on this hunk of junk

Bow rake is too severe. Only two screws. Definately won't pass muster in a contest. OTOH, if it really is from 1912, it might be valid.

What? No half naked girls in santa suits?

It makes me sick to know that people would buy those things at those prices. The overseas craftsmen are probably seeing 1/16th of what is being made. They are works of art, but are exploits when the marketers are classifying them as "original and authenic". Then again, with 0 bids, it does deserve a good laugh. Especially the firehydrants. Those must come in handy on the dog watch.
