Flagship models "Rusty White" shipmodeler@sbcglobal.net, has a good series of how to's involving shipmodeling. I purchased his "making realistic water" and working with photo-etched parts cd. Good stuff for under $10 a lesson. His info on tools and techniques helped me out alot.

Easy,First stock up on pain killers,a couple of bottles of your favorite Vodka or whisky, those relaxing mood music tapes and finally a pair of those magnifying lenses. But seriously, you can find a nice set for the Titanic at Gold Medal Models. They do a couple of sets including the passengers with band.Another has all the benches and assorted bits.If taken slowly and steadily you can build a superb model.I used the sets for my Lusitania and they really bring it to life.

I have just started on the Minicraft Titanic and already I see that in order to do a good job I am going to have to use some photo etched parts.

So.....Because I have no experience using them I need advise from you expert modelers on these endeavors.
