2 Projects I'm doing
Posted by seasick on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 11:30 PM
Recently I started some new projects.

1) I am designing a scratch built 1/700 Charles De Gaulle CVN. The prototype I am building is strictly to aid my design work. I enlarged a 1:1500 scale line drawing to 1:700 scale and cut a pattern of the flight deck from styrene.I have used i-beam styrene to make it rigid. and to raise it to the proper level above the water line. It looks awkward.

2) I am converting a Waveline Resin kit from the USS Leahy to USS Belknap. In the odd chance that I make one that looks halfway decent I'll post a picture.

Chasing the ultimate build.

Sounds like a fun project. I know because I have built several SCB125 Essex class carriers using your methods of plan coversions and using lots of sheet styrene. Can't wait to see your progress.
