Paint Question Again
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, March 31, 2005 9:06 PM
HI all,
Appreciate the answers last time. I decided to paint my wooden Armed Virginia Sloop but now am curious... does everyone put a clear coat of poly on everything or just leave the natural look of the paint? I used 100% Acrylics and brushed on 2x coats.
Thanks again.

It wouldn't hurt to spray a light coat of clear sealant, it will only protect the colors and paint.

I use different types. Normaly I will either put a coat of Future or Floral Satin (Used by florists). Like Jake said, it protects the paint and makes the model easier to clean dust off of.
