That's the Trumpeter 1:350 Liberty "Jeremiah O'Brien" kit. Some PE brass bits and white-metal vehicles from Tom's added. Lot of work still to go.

I don't know about the best, but I like this one....

1/700 scale AK-99 BOOTES from Skywave. You'll find it around $25.00.

The Trumpeter kit is about 15" long. It's a good kit but with certain reservations - look up previous posts from the last few weeks.

This is my current project "mocked up" for display recently, with extra parts and deck cargo from Tom's Modelworks.
