It is a soft white metal so most of the techniques you know about from resin translate to this medium also. Most of my kit bashing has been with 1/1200 scale metal ships.

Thanks for your help. The Skytrex kit looks like it might work. The challenge as I see it is that the superstructure is cast into the hull on the Skytrex. To modify the Vega into the Wren, I will need to scrounge or build 4.7" guns and shim/raise the upper decks/bridge accordingly. This seems easy enough on a resin kit, how difficult is it with a cast metal kit?

1. I suspect that the armada line was simply dropped.
2. Used kit dealers or Ebay (expect to pay serious coin for one).
3. Currently your only option is the Skytrex line of V&Ws in various configurations. These are 1/350 waterline kits in cast metal.

For a look at one of he kits check SMMLonline at http://smmlonline.com/reviews/models/v_w/vwskytrex350.html

looking for 1/350 Armada Scale (or anyone else's) HMS Vega

I'm looking for an HMS Vega to convert to HMS Wren circa 1940.

What became of Armada Scale's line after the sale of Custom Dioramics to VLS? I can't find Armada on VLS's site.

Does anyone have any idea where I might find this kit?

Does anyone else make (or rumored to be about to release) a 1/350th V/W or modified W class?

Thanks in Advance
