I used oils to weather it. I drybrushed a few layers of white over the boat, especially the lower hull. I use raw sienna and burnt sienna for the rust and drybrushed with some of that.
The deck I painted with oils: ivory black, raw umber, white and a touch of raw sienna. I found since the wooden deck is the only thing organic on the boat that oils work best for it because they don't dry fast and that gives you time to create a lot of sublties.
The scale is 1:125. It's approx. 22 in. long.
