Decent kits of auxilary ships are few and far between. As far as I know, no kits of AD-26 class destroyer tenders currently exist. However, Liberty ships are not totally dis-similar in size and shape compared to the tenders cranked out during WWII. Maybe you could convert Trumpeter's Liberty ship into something passable. Now if only somebody would make a decent kit of my old boat, USS Shenandoah (AD-44).

Stumbled across this:....http://www.motionmodels.com/ships/misc/ad26.html   while looking for tender kits. They apparently build to order.

Lead me not into temptation ..................I can find it myself

In fact it might not be too hard. The Isle Royale is based on the C3 cargo ship, at least as a foundation, and Revell of Germany recently released the Hawaiian Pilot, which is the old Burleigh C3 kit. Thats available for $18. Then the fun begins, and it would be, too.
