Photoetch

I was wondering where the best sites were for ordered photoetch, and aftermarket kits? Specifically in 1/350 scale. I just knocked out a 1/350 Fletcher, and was thinking about doing another 1/350 kit, with lots and lots of detail. Maybe a battleship or something. Thanks a lot!

Best in the world right here in Washington State, Gold Medal Models;

http://www.goldmm.com/

From their site, click on the "Links" link and it will give you plenty of distributors.

Wow! It is a small world! At least I will have someone local to go to, in case I light myself on fire with model glue!

I think I am going to do a Tamiya 1/350 Missouri. I'm going to use the GMM Missouri Kit (and if I want to spend the extra money the 'Gold Plus Missouri Fine Details.") Then I was going to get some of their 40mm & 20mm gun details. I did a 1/350 Fletcher, but a battleship seems to be equal to about 10 of the destroyers! I just wanted to make sure that I covered all my bases for details with that kit. I want to get everything at the same time, so I don't have to stop construction on it.

After the Mighty Mo, I think I'll try my hand at Iron Shipwright's USS Alaska. But that will have to wait until I get back from Iraq and have a little coin in my pocket.
