More info and a pic:

Due Early June 2005

This completely new mould incldes three figures and over 150 fully detailed parts.

The LCVP was actually a modification of the Higgins Industries 'Eureka' boat, and it was the most numerous of WW2's famous higgins boats. In Normandy alone, neraly 1100 of these crafts landed in the American and British sectors. Basically constructed of wood, the LCVP was used for tranporting fully armed troops, light vehicles and other equipment and supplies. It was boats of this class that made landings at Normandy ( D-Day ), Iwo joma, Guadalcanal, Tarawa and hundreds of other landings possible

Doesn't look a lot different than the LCM (Kit 6436) that Italeri just came out with.

Price $48.70

Sounds good to me. How big is this kit going to be?
