Photo Etch sets - Which is best?
Posted by qmiester on Saturday, May 21, 2005 8:49 AM
A couple of weeks ago, in a moment of weakness, I broke down and got a RoG 1/27 U-boat. (Hey - I'm a basic winged thingy modeler). Anyway after getting the kit in my hot little hands and perusing the box content and instructions (BIG box!) I've pretty well decided it needs a photo etch set to compliment it.

Anyway, I have this thing which precludes me from spending twice as much for after market items as I spent on the kit (It's basically called "a wife" - for years she didn't rant & rave - just sent me on guilt trips. Now she rarely says anything, cause she knows the reflex is now imprinted on my brain - Pavlovian is probably the word for it). This precludes me from buying more than one set of PE for this kit.

There are three sets out there as far as I can determine. Eduard, White Ensign and Yankee Model Works. Which set do you guys recommend?

Thanks
Quincy

Any one of them will suit your needs. I realize that's not much help, but I have all three and every one of them is excellent.
