I ordered from Model Expo (www.modelexpoinc.com) and got thread from Model Shipways and Corel. I got black thread in roughly 0.01, 0.02, 0.03 and 0.05" diameter (or 10" in my scale) and the tan in 0.25mm, 0.4mm and 0.5mm (or roughly 4" in my scale). Look under the "Fittings" tab at the top of their page and then select "Rigging Line" (surprisingly enough).

The prices were reasonable, the stuff was shipped quickly, and without having actually used any of it everything looks good so far.

Rigging Thread for Heller HMS Victory
Posted by gleason on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 12:13 PM
Hi!

I am in the process of gathering info about the Heller HMS Victory.

The kit I have has only 0.3mm and 0.6mm sizes.

I am interested in what modelers have used or are using for their rigging thread, ie. size, color, who manufactured the thread. etc....

Thanks for any info that can be provided.

It may be of use to other modelers also.
