Great Night for sailing....'round the horn!

Whoa nice breeze all night. At work this morning as essential personnel. No power to any of our wastewater plants, However there is no poop flowing to the plants also. Everything running on generators. Lots of trees and limbs down all over. Generally it was a little worse then expected. Sustained wind was 70mph last night for about an hour or so, Gust to 76 or so.

Everything seems Ok just a lot of clean up, could be worse. Now we focus on Dennis. Model shop made it just fine!

If you ever need to board up your windows I can't recommend Ply-locks enought! It makes putting up the plywood so easy. It takes me about 5 minutes todo all 9 windows. No advertizing, just a helpful hint.

Glad to hear from you, Jake. Thought of you when I was watching the Weather Channel last night. Good to hear all's well.

There is a web site called www.weatherunderground.com that gives a better picture than the weather channel site, click on projected path and look at the 3 of 5 paths that come my way. My co worker Linda has a 36ft. Hans Christen sail boat, (a girl and a sailboat who could ask for more?) (Look up Hans Christen on the net, best looking sailboat made MO) that road like a champ in the seas. She was explaining to me that she was surprised how many folks do not know how to tie lines to secure their boats, several larger boats were beat up bad during the night in the New Orleans Yacht Harbor.
