Hi Maurice,

What period are you depicting? For her appearance prior to November 1941, she was in overall #5 Standard Navy Gray, with steel decks and steel horizontal surfaces in #20 Standard Deck Gray; underwater hull was Norfolk 65-A Antifouling Red, with black boot-topping. Wood decks were unpainted teak.

At the time of the PH attack she was in Measure 1 camouflage, with all vertical surfaces up to the level of the top of the funnel painted 5-D Dark Gray; masts and fighting tops above the top of the funnel were painted the 1941 version of 5-L Light Gray; steel decks and steel horizontal surfaces were 5-D Dark Gray. Underwater hull was Norfolk 65-A Antifouling Red, with black boot-topping.

You'll find all those colors accurately matched and available in our Colourcoats enamels. You can e-mail me directly for more information.

Best regards,
John Snyder

I am building a 1/420 scale model of the USS Arizona, but the instructions are very vague about the whole colour scheme. Can anyone tell me where I can find out the true colour scheme.
