turret blast bags
Posted by pingtang on Thursday, July 3, 2003 7:51 AM
Hi all
I am currently building a 1/350 scale Bismarck and was wondering if anyone had any tips for making blast bags for the 38 cm main turrets and the 15 cm secondary turrets.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Use aluminium foil as a backing, and fill in with white glue (applied with a pin usually, and letting set up as you go) until you you have the desired shape. Then paint black and dry brush for weathering. Make sure that they look as much alike as possible.

Jeff,

I hadn't thought of that. I'll have to remember that. What ratio of mixture? 50/50?
