something new from fightnjoe
Posted by fightnjoe on Sunday, July 31, 2005 11:37 PM
yes my friends this is something new for me. something not attempted in many years. a ship model. i have begun the 1/700 mini hobby models uss arizona with a detail set from toms modelworks. be patient with me as this is something foreign to me.

the kit

the progress

drilled out these things

added this dohickeys

painted the whatchamacallit

now the deck in the pics looks absolutely horrible. however it is the lighting for the pics. i sprayed a light tan/washed with dark brown to give the illusion of shadows/drybrushed with light tan (heavy drybrush).

Joe

Am I to assume that you refer to the front of the boat as "the pointy end"?

PS - It's looking good so far
